Cleaning dog poop is not always high on most people’s “to-do” list. That’s where Paws Pet Care can help.  We provide a service that is a down right a stinker to most people.

However, your dog’s poop can be extremely harmful to you and your children…or anyone else that comes in contact with your back yard. We constantly hear myths and legends about dog waste so today Paws Pet Care is separating fact from fiction.

FICTION: Dog Waste Is A Good Fertilizer For My Yard
Wrong! Dog waste is  toxic to your lawn. Often times it will burn or even discolor your grass. This misconception is highly confused with cow manure, which could be beneficial to one’s lawn.
Cow manure is in fact good for laws and gardens because it started out as a form of vegetation. Dog’s are carnivores and their diets are very different. Most dog foods today are composed of beef, chicken and/or pork products. This creates a high acidic waste product that is bad for your grass and can leave your back yard hard on the eyes. Contrary to popular opinion not all poop is created equal.

FACT: Dog Waste Is Terrible For The Environment
Under the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) pet waste is classified as a dangerous pollutant which falls into the same category as toxic chemicals and oil. Yes, your dogs poo is just as dangerous as those deadly gases.

FICTION: Dog Waste Will Go Away On It’s Own
Many dog owners think that dog poop will eventually fade into the ground and go away. Due to weather conditions, dog poo does clean itself up but it’s lasting effects don’t go away. Did you know that pet waste can spread parasites such as hookworms, ringworms, tapeworms and Salonella?Yes, the poop will disappear from your yard but the parasite eggs can linger for YEARS!

FACT: Not Picking Up Waste In An Apartment Or Residential Community Can Result In Fines & Evictions
Your neighbors don’t want to smell your dog’s poop, and they definitely don’t want to have those moments when they accidentally step in it. Your dog’s poo plays a large role in your community. Often times there are other dogs living in the surrounding areas that are effected from dog poo. When walking your dog, be sure to clean up after them. Dog poop has TONS of bacteria that may cause diseases that are particularly prone to children.

Now….how does our “Poop-Scoop” service work? Here are the answers to some of the most frequently asked questions:
How often do you clean my yard?
There are a number of options you can choose from. The most popular are the weekly and twice  per week service. We also offer every other week, monthly and 1-time cleanup.
Where do you clean up?
We systimatcally check the entire yard and remove any dog poop we come across. Basically If a dog can go there, then we go there.
How do you clean up?
All waste is bagged and placed in your trash container or if you prefer, we can hauled it away. We pick up poop the old-fashioned way (by hand) and do not use tools that can cause damage to your yard and grass.
Do I have to sign a long-term contract?
Absolutely not. If every business provided the level of high quality service and delivered 100% customer satisfaction like we do…there would be no long term contracts. We’ll work hard to keep you as a customer and will count on that hard work to keep your loyalty.
Can I skip a day or suspend service for a while?
Yes, just give us a call. You will not be billed for days you want to skip or for missed calls due to weather.
Can I have a 1-time cleaning?
Of course…whether you need to get ready for a family reunion, party or to sell your house we can provide 1-time only cleaning. Note that price is slightly more than regular service as there is most likely significant amount of accumulated waste. We suggest regular weekly service to keep on top of the poop…or rather so you don’t step on top of the poop.
?Can I lock my gate and you still get in my yard?
Our insurer won’t let us jump over fences to get into yards, and we wouldn’t want to. So if you’d like to keep your yard under lock and key please unlock it the day of your service or provide us with the location of an outside key or combination to the lock. If we are unable to service your yard due to a locked gate we will still have to charge for the service.
Is the price cheaper if I have a small dog?
The size of the dog does not impact price. Your price will be based on the number of your dogs that regularly use your lawn.
