GET ACQUAINTED VISIT

The goal of this meeting is for the client to explain all the home and pets routines and make sure both parties are the right fit. During this time, the Client Profile and Cancellation Policy will be reviewed between client and client sitter. It is important that the client fills out their online profile completely prior to the meeting. Consultation is $25 and it’s a non-refundable fee.  Additional consultations for the addition of pets, to collect or return keys, etc. will be billed at $25 per consultation. We ask for two methods of entry to client home. It is up to the client’s discretion to provide working methods of entry. It is the client’s responsibility to make sure that all keys, garage codes, garage door openers, keypads, etc. are in working condition prior to leaving. PPC, LLC or client sitter is not responsible for faulty keys, etc.

RESERVING A BOOKING/ONLINE PROFILE

Once a client is familiar with our Client Profile Management System, we ask that clients use the online system to book (and make changes to) appointments. We also require that they make sure their profile is kept up to date, since it is a roadmap for our success in caring for client pets. If client needs to cancel, clients need to login and request the cancellation, call the office at 800-674-3409 or email info@pawspetcareathome.com. Individual pet sitters do not have ability to make changes to the schedule. We ask that to maintain the integrity of the schedule that clients communicate with the office.

METHODS OF PAYMENT

We accept Visa, MasterCard, and Discover. Clients are sent confirmations and invoices with a “pay now” link for your convenience at time of booking and again 7 days before your service begins. To access your account log into client account into our secure portal, click the “Account” link in the main navigation and enter payment information before we are able to provide service. Clients may leave cash/check as a gratuity method for their sitters. We do not accept cash/check for payment for services. A 3% processing fee will be added to cover processing costs.

PAYMENTS

For Vacations/Trips

Once your schedule is confirmed and your sitter assigned your card will be automatically charged 14 days before your schedule begins. If you are scheduled less than 14 days out, your card will be charged at the time of booking.

For Recurring Daily/Weekly/Monthly Clients

Your card will be charged when your schedule begins each month. Cancellations or unused visits will be credited to your account and rolled over to the next month.

If You Would Like To Leave A Gratuity

Through our system and your portal, you can:

  • Choose an amount to be automatically given each time as a gratuity,
  • You can include a gratuity in your payment for your sitter(s), or
  • You can leave it in cash in an envelope for them on your counter with their name on it
  • You can pay them directly via Venmo, CashApp, or whatever platform you agree upon with your sitter

Whatever you choose, 100% of gratuities go directly to the sitters.

SURCHARGES

$10 service fee per visit will be applied to each visit for major holidays including Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Thunder Over Louisville, Oaks Day, Derby Day, Gasparilla(Tampa/Saint Petersburg)

A $5 service fee will be charged to visits requested with less than 24 hours’ notice. A $10 service fee will be charged for “Same Day” service requests. We cannot guarantee these last-minute service requests can be filled.

A 3% processing fee will be added to cover credit card processing costs.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Daily/Weekly Visit (services booked 1 or more day a week regularly)

A 24-hour advance notice is required for cancellations on all days in order to receive a full credit towards future services. Any cancellation made outside 24 hours will not be refunded or credited. If a cancellation has not been submitted and our sitters arrive at client home to provide care, client account will be charged the visit fee. Acts of God (weather, illness, etc) will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Holiday/Vacation Travel Services

Non-Holidays – A seven (7) day advanced notice is required for cancellations on vacation visits in order for client deposit to be refunded.

Holidays – A 14 day advanced notice is required for holidays in order for client deposit to be refunded. Holidays include:

* The day before and the day after Thanksgiving (beginning Wednesday and ending Friday)

* The week of Christmas (beginning Monday) through New Years Day

* Thunder Over Louisville, Oaks Day and Derby Day

* Memorial Day Weekend

* Independence Day Weekend

* Labor Day Weekend

Any cancellation made outside of 14 days will not be refunded or credited. Acts of God will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Early return does not constitute refund for services not used as sitters cannot be booked for other clients services.

EMERGENCY VETERINARY CARE
In the event of a medical emergency, Paws Pet Care, LLC/Pet Sitter is authorized by client to seek emergency veterinary care with release from all liabilities related to transportation, treatment and expense. Should specified veterinarian be unavailable, Paws Pet Care, LLC/Pet Sitter is authorized to approve medical and/or emergency treatment (excluding euthanasia) as recommended by a veterinarian. Additional charges may apply. Clients will be contacted in the event of an emergency by phone, email and text for direction from the client. It is the client’s responsibility to have payment on file with your veterinarian/emergency veterinarian of choice. We suggest contacting your veterinarian before departing to let them know that Paws Pet Care will be caring for your pet(s) during your specified vacation schedule and authorizing payment.
MINIMUM VISITS – NO EXCEPTIONS
All dogs must visited no less than three times in a 24 hour period, excluding client departure and arrival dates. Visits occurring at least three times per day are veterinary recommended. All cats must be visited at least every other day. Visits once every 24 hours are veterinarian recommended.
ACCESS TO CLIENT HOME BY OTHERS
Please be advised that if there are other persons entering and leaving client home/facility, Paws Pet Care, LLC/Pet Sitter can not be held liable for any damages to property or pets well being as a result. Additionally, Paws Pet Care, LLC requires clients to inform us at the time of the Get Acquainted consultation and/or in client online profile in LeashTime of anyone who may have access to client home/property/facility while client is away, or that will be on the property while we are providing service. This includes (but not limited to) cleaning services, repair persons, friends, family and neighbors, trainers, etc. For the safety of client pet-sitter, four-legged fur-kids and home/facility, no person should be permitted in client home/facility during the same times our pet sitters are providing services unless special arrangements have been made through the management of Paws Pet Care. We prefer that, for accountability and liability reasons, no other individual should be providing pet care services at the same time Paws Pet Care is providing pet care services. If client chooses to allow other individuals to share care, Paws Pet Care cannot be held liable for any misconduct or mistreatment of personal property or animals that occurs outside of our care schedule.
FENCES/GATES/CRATES/LATCHES/LEASHES & COLLARS

It is the pet/home/facility owner’s sole responsibility to “pet-proof” any areas of the home/ property/facility to which the pet has access. This includes thoroughly inspecting fences, gates, latches, doors and other devices (including crates) meant to contain the pet or restrict access to specific areas. Paws Pet Care, LLC/Pet Sitter does not assume responsibility and has no liability for any injuries the pet may sustain or property damage the pet may cause while in its own home/property/facility.

– Fences/Gates/Enclosures

Fenced in yards are great play and potty spaces for pets, however, no fence system is totally secure. Paws Pet Care, LLC/Pet Sitter does not accept responsibility or liability for any pets that escape, are injured or become lost, fatal or otherwise, when pets are left out or given access to a fenced in area. This includes electronic, wood, metal, glass or any other enclosure types.

– Cages/Crates

Cages/crates are great secure spots for pets; however, no cage/crate is totally secure. Paws Pet Care, LLC/Pet Sitter does not accept responsibility or liability for any pets that escape, are injured or become lost, fatal or otherwise, when pets are left in a crate unattended or in a cage that is being improperly used or not sufficient enough for the pet. This includes metal, plastic or any other crate types.

– Leashes/Collars

All dogs will be required to be properly collared and on leash during outdoor walks. Paws Pet Care, LLC/Pet Sitter is not responsible for damage incurred by pet escaping because of a faulty leash or collar that is incorrectly fitted. Please check to make sure that your pets collars fit properly.

MEDICATIONS
Paws Pet Care, LLC/Pet Sitter will ATTEMPT to administer medications (pill and injections) as directed but cannot be held responsible for complications that arise as a result. Excessively shy, aggressive or scared pets with medical problems can be a serious risk to both the care-provider and the pet themselves. If client have such an animal, we reserve the right to decline providing service and this must be thoroughly discussed PRIOR to services rendered. Additional charges may apply for administering medication, or for extra time spent in caring for sick or injured pets.
PET & HOUSE CLEAN-UP
Paws Pet Care, LLC/Pet Sitter will properly dispose of pet waste and do our best to clean up any accidents client pet may have. Paws Pet Care, LLC/Pet Sitter are not responsible for carpet/flooring stains created by client pet(s). We do request that client provide plastic bags, towels, cleaning products, paper towels, trash bags and indicate where client would like the waste disposed of.
ANIMAL BEHAVIOR/AGGRESSIVE DOG POLICY
Animals behavior can be unpredictable. Paws Pet Care, LLC does not accept responsibility or liability for animal behavior, normal or otherwise, which results in injury or death to the client’s animals. If client pet(s) will not allow Paws Pet Care, LLC/Pet Sitter into client home, or prevent client pet sitter to provide routine duties, Paws Pet Care, LLC/Pet Sitter will contact client and/or client’s emergency contact listed in their profile in LeashTime and other care arrangements will be made. We do not provide free or discounted services if the dog’s aggressiveness prevents us from performing our regular duties. In the event client dog bites or injures the pet sitter, or any other pet/animal in the residence client are responsible for all medical fees associated with their injury. Additional charges may apply.
VACCINATIONS/PET HEALTH
All pets are to be currently vaccinated. Should Pet Sitter be bitten or otherwise exposed to any disease or ailment received from Client’s animal which has not been properly and currently vaccinated, client agrees to pay all costs and damages incurred by the victim. Additional charges may apply.
INCLEMENT WEATHER
If severe weather occurs, your sitter will try to carry out your instructions to the best of their ability. Please understand that we will provide service, but not until conditions allow us to reach your home safely.
UNFORESEEN PURCHASES
Any additional necessary costs such as food, litter, cleaning supplies or other necessary items that contribute to the health and well being of client pet will be purchased by Paws Pet Care, LLC/Pet Sitter. We will retain a receipt and the customer will be automatically charged for reimbursement of these items. A $35 trip fee will be applied. Client agrees to reimburse Pet Sitter/Paws Pet Care, LLC for expenses incurred, plus any additional fee for attending to this need or any expenses incurred.
HOUSE/FACILITY ALARMS
If client have an alarm, please contact client alarm company and tell them client have hired Paws Pet Care, LLC. Please provide the code to de-activate and activate the system and password in case of accidentally setting off the alarm. If client are uncomfortable giving Paws Pet Care, LLC this information, please set up a temporary code and password for our purposes. If an alarm is set and no prior arrangements have been made, Paws Pet Care is not responsible for any charges associated with the alarm going off when entering the premises.
KEYS TO HOME

Providing reliable entry to the home to your pet sitter is the sole responsibility of the client. Paws Pet Care cannot be held liable for lost, stolen or misplaced keys. However, this is the responsibility of the client. We will accept garage door openers and keypads as the only means of entry to client home, however client should understand the risk of their Paws Pet Care sitter not being able to access their home/pets to provide care due to power and battery outages. Arrangements should be made between the client and the sitter for a safe, secure method of entry into the home at the Get Acquainted visit. We suggest secure lock boxes or realtor boxes if you do not have keyless entry. A $25 trip fee will be invoiced for extra trips to pick up keys or drop them off after your initial Get Acquainted Visit. It is always a good idea to leave a hard copy key with a family member or neighbor for access in the event of a power/battery outage. Client understands that without a hard copy key as a backup, service may be disrupted if power/battery outage occurs and no hard copy key is provided.

OTHER FEES

Other fees for additional services or circumstances may apply. A 3% processing fee is added to cover the cost of credit card processing. Any additional visits made or services performed shall be paid for at the agreed contract rate. Paws Pet Care, LLC/Pet Sitter is authorized to perform care and services as outlined on this contract.

NON-SOLICITATION
We have a NON SOLICITATION POLICY with all our sitters and walkers. We allow communication between our clients and our sitters either by phone or text during our business hours or on the weekends if they are caring for client pet(s) however all services must be booked through the owner of Paws Pet Care, LLC either by LeashTime scheduling software, phone or email. Please DO NOT call or text our sitters for schedule request changes. Our sitters contract with Paws Pet Care, LLC. They are bound by legal contract to not take our clients on as their own and not do side work or “under the table” work for PPC clients.
TERMINATION OF CONTRACT
Pet Sitter/Paws Pet Care, LLC reserves the right to terminate this contract at any time before or during its term. If Pet Sitter/Paws Pet Care, LLC, in its sole discretion, determines that Client’s pet poses a danger to health or safety of Pet Sitter, if concerns prohibit Pet Sitter from caring for pet, Client will be notified and given the alternative to authorize pet to be placed in a kennel, with all charges there from to be charged to client.
AUTHORIZATION OF FUTURE SERVICES
Client authorizes this contract to be valid approval for future services of any purpose provided by this contract permitting Pet Sitter/Paws Pet Care, LLC to accept telephone/text reservations or reservations through LeashTime (online profile management/scheduling system) for service and enter premises without additional signed contracts or written authorization.

Paws Pet Care, LLC/Pet Sitter agrees to provide the services stated in this contract in a reliable, caring and trustworthy manner. In consideration of these services and as an express condition thereof, the client expressly waives and relinquishes any and all claims against said Pet Sitter/Paws Pet Care, LLC except those arising from negligence or willful misconduct the part of the Sitter/Paws Pet Care, LLC.
