Please welcome “Kayla”, a new member of the team at Paws Pet Care!

Kayla is originally from St. Louis, Missouri. After getting her degree in Anthropology and Archaeology last May, she got married and moved to Louisville. She has four of her own fur-kids – two dogs (Gaby and Tyler), a cat (Bootsy) and a bunny (Mocha). Kayla shares our love and passion for fur-kids and is a fantastic addition to our team.

A fascinating fact about Kayla is that she  helped excavate artifacts under the instruction of various supervisors at the Cahokia Mounds in St. Louis!  The Cahokia Mounds is the area of an ancient indigenous city (c. 600–1400 CE) located across the Mississippi River from St. Louis, Missouri. Cahokia Mounds is the largest archaeological site related to the Mississippian culture, which developed advanced societies in the central and eastern present-day United States, beginning more than five centuries before the arrival of Europeans. In the 1200s, its population was as large or larger than European cities, and it was not surpassed by any later United States city until 1800.

In her free time, Kayla loves  to read, walk/run with her dogs, go on mini road trips around the area, and explore Louisville.  Since she is new to the area, please feel free to leave your suggestions for places to see, eat and go in Louisville!
