Doberman Pinschers can be extremely loving and loyal to its owners – that is why they are perfect for protection. Doberman pinschers are known to follow their owners everywhere, simply out of their sweetness of loyalty and respect. They are extremely intelligent, and are very trainable to behave and to protect. Doberman pinschers will not tolerate any strangers, and will always protect their family. Just be sure to familiarize your dog to any family or friends so that if someone shows up, the Pinscher’s recognition of the visitor’s scent will keep him from being defensive and dangerous.
The Bullmastiff
These dogs are incredibly huge, so their look alone would deter from any intruders wanting to waltz onto your front porch. Bullmastiff is a strong, independent breed that makes a great guard dog. Bullmastiffs are loyal and loving to their “pack”, and the most affectionate pet with his loved ones, but can be quite aloof and suspicious toward strangers and unknown people. They will be suspicious towards strangers and may act aggressively toward people outside the family. Training and guidance is important throughout every stage of their lives.
The Rottweiler
Rottweilers are generally thought to be a mean breed, but they are very loving and loyal to their owners. Their stronger build and appearance can no doubt intimidate strangers. Rottweilers are hesitant and protective around strangers, so they are good to have as protection. This breed is both good for affection and guarding when trained.
Boxer Dog
Boxers are loyal, intelligent, and alert, and thus are fairly easy to train. With a stalwart appearance, the boxer can deter most criminals from trespassing on your property.
